In a world where everyone grows up with an ancestor as a personal ghost mentor, 16-year-old Sanjiv has finally reached a breaking point with his ghost, the notorious Chinese pirate Madame Ching. When she takes a strange and sudden interest in Sanjiv’s crush and makes his life even more miserable, he considers an operation to have his ghost permanently removed.
